Biography
Andrew Hines is Assistant Professor and Director of Research in the School of Computer Science in UCD, Andrew is interested in applying machine learning for applications in speech, audio and video signal processing. Andrew is interested in working with fellows to evaluate neurological diseases by means of speech processing and multimodal analysis.
He has developed computational metrics for estimating speech and audio quality as well as for predicting speech intelligibility for people with hearing impairments. He has active research collaborations applying machine learning models to health applications and modelling cryptosystems.
