Biography

Dr. Mohana Devi Subramaniam completed her PhD in molecular genetics by analyzing the genetic modifications in patients with HCC at Bharathiar University, India. She completed her postdoctoral work at Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel by investigation the Hematopoietic and Mesenchymal stem cells, to decipher its molecular mechanisms and clinical mobilization for transplantation, where she received her training in molecular biology techniques, flow cell analysis and transplantation studies in animal models.

As a part of her NeuroInsight fellowship, Dr. Mohana is exploring the epigenetic and RNA processing events which may contribute to the development of epilepsy using mouse models of the disease. She will perform an in-depth characterisation of the RNA processing of polyA tailing specifically and assess how polyA tail length may influence the processing of messenger
