Dr Giorgia Pregnolato received her BS in Physical Therapy from University of Padua (Italy), and Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychological and Psychiatric Sciences, and Movement Sciences from the University of Verona (Italy). Dr Pregnolato has worked as physiotherapist and researcher for 10 years in a research neurorehabilitation hospital (San Camillo IRCCS Hospital, Venice, Italy). In her research, she is interested in the application of technologies in rehabilitation, to improve motor recovery in people after neurological disease. She has collaborated with some companies to develop devices for rehabilitation or to implement new features for device control. She is a member of the Digital Technologies group-of-interest in Italian Association of Physiotherapy (AIFI).
As part of MSCA NeuroInsight postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in University College Dublin (UCD), Dr Pregnolato will implement an assessment tool for hand motor impairment after stroke using wearable devices.
