Biography
Gabriel-Miro Muntean is a Professor with School of Electronic Engineering, DCU, and co-Director of the DCU Performance Engineering Lab. His expertise covers designing solutions for performance and energy-aware data communications in heterogeneous network environments, IoT and rich media systems.
Gabriel-Miro employs optimisation methods, including machine learning and deep reinforcement learning-based. Gabriel-Miro has over 450 publications of which 4 are authored books, and over 120 journal papers. He was coordinator of several large projects, including the EU Horizon 2020 project NEWTON (EURO 6.5M), has supervised 24 PhD students to completion, and 12 postdoctoral researchers.
His publications have attracted over 8000 citations; h-index 49; i10-index 165.
