Dr Hananeh Younesian completed her BA in Physical Education at University of Mazandaran Iran in 2011 and her MA and Ph.D in Physical Education & Sport Sciences-Sports Biomechanics at Bu-Ali Sina University Iran in 2013 and 2019, respectively.
From October 2019 to October 2021 Dr Younesian was at Cirris (Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation and Social Integration), Laval University in Canada as a Post-Doctoral Fellow and from April 2022 I she moved at UCD’s Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics as a post-doctoral Fellow. Her research interests are gait and balance analysis in laboratory, clinical and ecological settings in different populations (pathological/healthy/sportive) using wearable sensors.
As a Marie Skłodowska-Curie NeuroInsight Fellow, Dr Younesian will analysis the dataset that has been acquired as part of the IMI-2 Mobilise-D research programme. In Mobilise-D daily-life activities and clinical tests of Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis patients, from 10 EU countries, have already been recorded using inertial measurement units (IMUs) that are worn by each participant for a 7 days’ period every 6-months over 2 years.
