Biography

Dr Sinéad King completed her MSc in Clinical Neuroscience and PhD in Neuroscience at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, Kings College London where she received training in machine learning, neuroimaging, neuroinflammation, and clinical trial management under the supervision of Professor Allan Young.

Dr. King then completed postdoctoral work at the School of Medicine, Stanford University where she further developed her expertise in clinical and neuroimaging skills in the development of effective neuromodulation treatments for severe mental illness. Dr. King is a translational neuro-immunologist and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, based at Beaumont Hospital, RCSI, as well as adjunct assistant professor at the School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin.

Dr. King aims to utilise advanced skills in data analytics and machine learning to apply them to the challenges of neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions, ultimately with the aim of benefitting patients (through the improvement of treatment outcomes).
